Tibetan terrier is a little lucky charm that my family got to
know at the turn of 1970’s–1980’s. Despite it’s name a TT is
not a terrier, it’s a smart little shepherd. Due to their
clever minds TTs are often called as Little people, too – for
a good reason.
We have been with the breed since 1981 when we got our first
Tibetan terrier. Fonzie was accompanied by Luizzie and a few
years later by Babette, and finally by a decision to start our
own breeding. The first Falamandus-litter was delivered in
1992.
Tibetan terrier is a great companion for both small and
extended families. It is suitable for showing, agility,
obedience, and we’ve even had a case of a TT pulling full
score in a tracking test. For myself I am an enthusiast for
shows travelling the globe for them.
From the 15 show aged litters Falamandus has produced 40
Champions and 21 FCI International Champions with an uncounted
number of national titles of various countries.
Falamandus offspring has already moved to USA, Great-Britain,
Ireland, Holland, Greece, Italy, Denmark, Slovakia, Sweden and Norway.
All the mothers are at least domestic Champions, and sires
have been carefully chosen mostly from abroad.
We constantly show veteran dogs, compete on the
Best In Show level and gain World-, European-, Nordic and
domestic Winner titles. We have celebrated BISS-winners and
Top of the Year TTs many years in a row, not forgetting our
Breeder’s Groups that collects BIS and BISS wins in Finland
and abroad.
I’m happy to advice with the showing career, but above all the
Falamandus TTs deserve a place as a family member in loving
and trustable homes. Puppies are available occasionally, also
for abroad. Falamandus offspring has already moved to USA,
Great-Britain, Ireland, Holland, Greece and Italy. All the
mothers are at least domestic Champions, and sires have been
carefully chosen mostly from abroad.
The success of Falamandus is not only credit for me as a
breeder or for a single dog. The secret is the devoted owners
and the high spirit we share. Therefore I’d hardly talk about
a kennel, rather call us a team.

Tiibetinterrieri on pieni onnentuoja, johon perheeni tutustui
1970-1980 -lukujen taitteessa. Nimestään huolimatta tibbe ei
ole terrieri vaan ehta paimenkoira. Nokkelia
tiibetinterriereitä kutsutaan myös pikku ihmisiksi (Little
people) – eikä suotta.
Olemme harrastaneet rotua vuodesta 1981, jolloin saimme
ensimmäisen oman tiibetinterrierimme. Fonzieta seurasi Luizzie
sekä vähän myöhemmin Babette, ja lopulta päätös omasta
kasvatustyöstä. Ensimmäinen Falamandus-pentue syntyi vuonna
1992.
Tiibetinterrieri sopii seuralaiseksi pieneen tai isompaan
perheeseen sekä näyttely-, agility- tai tokoharrastukseen,
onpa kasvattimme suorittanut jälkikokeenkin täysin pistein.
Itse käyn aktiivisesti näyttelyissä eri puolilla maailmaa.
Kasvatteja olen vienyt Yhdysvaltoihin, Iso-Britanniaan,
Irlantiin, Hollantiin, Kreikkaan sekä Italiaan.
Viidestätoista näyttelyikään ehtineestä pentueesta on
varttunut 40 muotovaliota ja 21 kansainvälistä valiota. Osa
kisaa veteraanina ja joukosta löytyy Best In Show –voittajia
sekä muun muassa MV-, EUV-, PMV-, SV-, V-titteleiden ja monien
vuosien erikoisnäyttelyiden sekä Vuoden Tiibetinterrieri- ja
Vuoden Tiibetinterrieri Veteraani –kisojen voittajia.
Kasvattajaluokkien BIS-voittoja on kerätty Suomessa ja
ulkomailla.
Opastan mielihyvin näyttelyaakkosissa, mutta ennen kaikkea
Falamandus-kasvatit luovutetaan perheenjäseniksi rakastaviin
ja luotettaviin koteihin. Pentuja on saatavilla harvakseltaan.
Kaikkien pentueiden emät ovat vähintään kotimaansa valioita,
ja isät on valittu maailmalta tarkoin.
Falamanduksen menestys ei ole vain kasvattajan tai
yksittäisten koirien ansiota. Sen takaa löytyy koiriensa
hoitoon omistautuneita perheitä ja hilpeä yhteishenki. Siksipä
meillä harvoin puhutaan kennelistä, mieluummin tiimistä.
